If you have read our blog for any time at all, you know how I love my Grammie! She lives close by and comes to have a playdate with the girls nearly every week. She is a fantastic Great Grandma. She came over this weekend to see the new playset and she was outside for about 1 minute when I looked out and she was already up top. So of course I ran right out with the camera.
Then the girls said, “Go down the slide!”
Later in the visit I took this photo – they were doing math 🙂
Amelie and the Georges having a banana. Click the photo above to see the whole album.
After museum school and music class we headed over to the zoo for the spring Homeschool Day. It was a major set up this time around and I couldn’t resist going for at least an hour because the weather was SO AWESOME!!
Here the girls are yelling ‘MONKEY’ at the top of their lungs.
Nadia was very excited to touch a “rat snake” and wanted a photo of this Mexican Alligator Lizard.
This is the closest I have even been to this guy.
We had a really nice time, but the girls were completely worn out after having a busy morning before hand.
Yesterday Amelie and I had some time to kill before we picked up Nadia from Museum School. There was no way I was going to run any errands on such a GLORIOUS day. So I decided I would take her over to the Trinity Duck pond. As I parked the car there were a bunch of geese on the grass in front of us and Amelie started freaking out with excitement. We got out of the car and heard “honk honk honk honk” and Amelie thought it was hilarious. “Touch them” and off she went to try and touch them. (the kid is afraid of gnats, but will try to capture a goose as big as her).
Here she is looking back at me and starting to laugh because the geese tried to get away from her.
Here she is trying to reason with them, “Hi geese, hi geese. Ome (come) here geese. Ome here geese.”
They decide she is getting too close and take off across the road.
“Ome on Mom!!”
Finally Amelie decided to just walk after them while I taped the video.
“Too bad.” As in too bad they got in the water before I could hug one of them.
