Children’s Adventure Garden 2013

Adventure Garden 12.4.2013

My last post was from our visit to the Dallas Arboretum Pumpkin Village. They opened up the Rory Meyers Children’s Adventure Garden last year and we were hoping for a nice day to go visit and take some photos for our annual Christmas calendar. There was one beautiful day the first week of December and we got so many great photos it was hard to narrow it down.

We will definitely be going back in the spring with all 3 girls 🙂

Happy 3rd Gotcha Day to Amelie!

Amelie has now been in our family for 3 years! Going through these photos really shows how much she has changed in that time from mostly sad to mostly happy.

Amelie loves to sing, wear costumes, eat chocolate (or any sweets really), look at books, play with sticker books (and offer stickers to everyone), put on lip gloss, chew gum, color/paint, give hugs, watch Magic School Bus and Kipper, swing, take long baths, go to the library, play memory and sleep. The last one is something she has said to me several times in the last couple days and it makes me laugh each time.

And she is VERY excited that she is about to be a big sister too!

Pumpkins at the Dallas Arboretum

Many people have suggested that we go to see the Dallas Arboretum, but my friend Kaye really sold me on it and on getting a membership. We managed to get over there on the last day of the Pumpkin Village at the end of November which was great since we had missed going in the fall. It’s a beautiful place and I am going to let the photos speak for themselves. This first blog post is all the types of pumpkins they had on display.
