- For my cousin Clay and his wife Eileen who babysat the girls for us last weekend so we could see the Quebe Sisters in concert.
- For how precious the kids in my co-op art class are. I love them and all their wildly different personalities!
Boo at the Zoo 2013
For this years family Halloween dress up we went with our version of the 4 main characters from “The Wizard of Oz” and it was great fun! Nadia has been asking to be Dorothy for years, but then changes her mind at the last minute. It would have been way too much money and time to try and recreate the movie and I really didn’t want to dress up as a tin man or put Amelie in one of those standard baby type furry lion costumes. Mike made his entire costume including the mask and it really turned out fun.
We dressed up and headed for Boo at the Zoo and the weather was perfect. The girls had a great time playing games and collecting candy. We also watched the music show and magic show which both girls loved.
Nadia laughed so hard during the silly magician’s act.
It wasn’t as crowded as homeschool day so I was able to get a few better photos of the baby elephants. They are so cute!
There were pumpkins all over the zoo, even floating in the penguin area. Nadia thought it was great fun to watch the gorilla eat his pumpkin and asked me to take a lot of photos.
We thought Amelie was the cutest lion ever!
It’s my favorite time of year to go to the zoo and we had such a great time as usual!
Thankful Thursday
This week I am thankful that this man is still a part of our life. Last week our dear friend had a major heart attack and we are grateful that he is still here for his family and friends. Thankful to God that He saw fit to grant my sweet friends more time together. Hug, kiss, text, email and call the ones you love! Let them know that you are thankful for them.
