I am thankful for Jared proposing to my sister at our house last Sunday!!! It was sweet and awesome and wonderful. Then we headed to our friends Bubba and Laura’s house for a dinner turned celebration!
This year we went to Hometown again to trick or treat. We were joined by two families from church and all the kids. A great time was had by all and once again I have to say that it’s the most fun neighborhood to trick or treat in. Nearly the entire neighborhood decorates their houses and the residents sit on the porch and pass out candy. The only thing that was a disappointment for Nadia was that the house that usually decorates as the Wizard of Oz changed up and made the front yard look like the Pirates of the Caribbean. The display was really cool though, just like their Oz display of the past.
The girls had a great time like they always do and after trick or treating we headed over to Grammie’s house. Then we went to Paula and Rogers and I am sad to say I forgot to take photos at both places!
Nadia’s birthday party request was very simple this year. She wanted a cake with Hello Kitty dressed like Spiderman flavored with Princess emulsion (like an extract). Then her other request was to have the party at the same park as Amelie’s party, but with a pinata. We ordered some pizzas and we were good to go.
After all the kids tried to destroy the pinata we decided to try pulling the strings on the bottom.
Attack and grab the candy!
The kids had so much fun just running around the park laughing and screaming.
Some of the families had left before the photos, but I thought this was a great group shot!

That night Mike and Nadia started on the various Lego’s she received as gifts. It was a wonderful day and we are so grateful for our friends and family that joined us to celebrate Nadia.
Nadia and Jurnee have been friends since they were about 2 years old all because of World Vision. The girls were in the same class at our local rec center and when the weather turned colder I started to wear my World Vision zip up all the time. Jurnee’s mom Miriam told me they sponsored a child and it sparked a discussion that hasn’t ended. I am so blessed by their family and our friendship. We had a great time celebrating Jurnee turning 7.

Love this family!
