My sister came to visit in June and I was ready to try a craft from Family Fun magazine. Tahni is usually up for some adventure like that with me (remember our Gingerbread Village from Christmas?) and so we headed to Michael’s for shirts and supplies. The title of the project was “Pasta Stamp Firework Shirts”. We had to make the stamps out of pasta and cardboard, and buy washable fabric glitter and fabric glue.

Here we are putting the glue on the stamp.

When we finished, the shirts had to sit for 10 days before washing. I mailed Tahni hers when they were ready. And here was are in July when Nadia and I visited Tahni in College Station.

Nadia Loves the Quebe Sisters

The Quebe Sisters go to our church and they all play the fiddle and sing. They play some awesome bluegrass and have remade some great oldies like “Georgia on My Mind” Here is their website if you want to find out more:

If it’s possible for a 2 year old to have a favorite band, they are Nadia’s 🙂 Here is a little video I put together of Nadia singing along to “So Long To the Red River Valley”

Thankful Thursday

I am thankful that Nadia and I had a super fun and safe trip down to Houston this week. Photos of all the fun to follow.

I am also thankful for what a great host my cousin Jen is and a yummy cook!
