Birthday weekend fun

Mike had already given me my birthday presents early – one especially so I could take it on my trip to Seattle. He gave me a spiffy little Acer One netbook. It’s red and cute and the perfect thing for taking on trips and checking email and websites. I love it!

On my actual birthday my aunt and uncle gave my Grammie a 75th birthday party at their house. Evan and Courtney even flew in from Chicago which was a great surprise for Grammie. We were also joined by Grammie’s lifelong friend George Ann and all her daughters. It was a nice time and of course I made the cake ๐Ÿ™‚

And at staff meetingย  up at church they set this up for me. Since I usually do cakes for every staff birthday they wanted to do something for me. The lemon cupcakes were AWESOME and totally my favorite type of cake. Aren’t the flowers pretty too? Love it.

Snug House, Bug House

This week in art class Miss Hanna read us “Snug House, Bug House” which is a really cute story about some bugs who make a house out of a tennis ball that they find. It required a lot more ‘mommy’ help, but Nadia chose all the colors, helped glue and decided where all the parts needed to to go. I love this class!

The Rainbow Fish

*First I want to say that I have heard the requests for some new photos of Nadia and that will be in my next post ๐Ÿ™‚

Today Miss Hanna read us “The Rainbow Fish” in art class. The mommies job was to cut out the tail and the face piece and let the kids do the rest. I had to help Nadia with the glue so it didn’t go everywhere, but she did a great job tearing. I also love her “bling” scales that she worked so hard to place very carefully. Enjoy!
