National Night Out

I am on the board of our HOA and so had to be a part of the National Night Out in October. It ended up being such a neat night because 4 other HOA’s went in with us and we had one big event. Fire Trucks came and Nadia even got to go up inside one when the fireman gave her a tour. The SWAT team came, but we could only look at the outside of their vehicle 🙁  There was a guy making balloon animals and he said to Nadia, “Would you like a heart or a flower?” She responded with “A HORSE!” He was so surprised and told me so, but he made her a horse hat.

There was a lot of other stuff going on, I forgot my camera because I was getting other stuff ready for the night. So Mike snapped some photos of us in our get-up’s when we got home.

If you know Nadia you know that she L-O-V-E-S Curious George. So of course that is what the theme of her party was this year. We had party games for her and her friends. Pin the butterfly on the log with a George mask.

Then it was time to open presents. The big hit was the stuffed Michelin Man and Michelin Dog. Nadia adores the Michelin man and Mike found one online to give her.

It was a great blessing to have the friends and family who joined us for this toddler fun party! Thanks so much for everything, especially loving our sweet girl.

Thankful Thursday

  • I am thankful for the KIDS HOPE program and the fact that we are in our 10th week with 33 mentors going this school year.
