To our family, friends and blog readers we only know through the net – We hope that this new year and new decade are filled with love, laughter and the joy of the Lord.
Nadia actually cooperated for a family photo on New Year’s Eve!
And a sneak peek of Jen and Chris’ wedding on New Year’s Day. What a wonderful way to start our year 🙂
These photos are about a month old, but I am trying to catch up on all our Christmas fun. It was so fun to do this with Nadia this year since she was so into helping.

This is a great shot because she is using the icicle to play on the drum. She did it each time she hung an icicle.

What a wonderful Christmas we had! Tahni and Joseph came up and got here just as the snow started to build up. We all braved the snow for a short amount of time, but the major winds sent us all back inside.
We had a yummy dinner and then sang some songs:
After singing we headed over to Interlochen to see the Christmas lights. Ordinarily the traffic would be very heavy, but we were hoping that people would be afraid of the snow and that we would be able to get into the neighborhood. It worked out just as we hoped and there was almost no traffic at all. We had a great time looking at the lights covered in snow–it was a totally different experience compared to when the three of us went two weeks ago.
On Christmas morning we opened gifts and had waffles. Then Tahni and Joseph headed to his family’s and we made our way over to Roger and Paula’s for Christmas lunch.
Before heading home for a nap, Nadia got in a little snow time before it all melted.
That night we went to spend some time with Grandma Linda.

Nadia’s birthday gift from us was tickets to “Curious George Live” at Nokia. The event was almost a month after her birthday, but we really talked it up and told her that we had the tickets and would go as soon as it was here. I thought that they did a really good job on the show which was a musical and all the characters were like the PBS show. The people in the George suit were obviously acrobats and did all kinds of cool stuff in the monkey suit. This was such a fun thing for us to do as a family and I am glad that she loved it so much.
We got Nadia a stuffed George with a shirt that says, “Curious George Live” and now when she shows him to people she introduces him as “Curious George Live”….don’t just call him Curious George 🙂
