We rocked Nadia’s world!

We turned her car seat around! Nadia hit 21 pounds this week and it’s just too hot for her in the car with the seat rear facing. I got ready with the camera in the passenger seat and Mike brought her out to put her in. She looked totally confused at first, then she was looking all around. Then we left for Austin and I think that she thought it was funny to be able to see me without the mirror. Here are a few photos of her surprise and curiosity.

Swim and Sprinkler Fun

Swim Day
Swim Day (click to see album)

Today we went to Tricia’s house for a kiddie swim and sprinkler party. The kids had a great time playing together. Tricia has this totally cute worm sprinkler that I need to buy for Nadia. Too fun! Afterwards we did a “pop in” on Aunt Joy and Nadia got so excited to see her. While exploring the mail room she became fascinated with all the different colored paper clips. Joy gave her a couple of cups and she tried to pour them from one to another, but most ended up on the desk or the floor, but she loved it.

One of the mom’s said Nadia looked like a little Diva watching all the other kids from the swing. The sunglasses crack me up.

Thankful Thursday

I am thankful for the safety in travels for many people that I love and care for this summer. Some are still traveling and I continue to pray for their well-being.

  • For Jen in Costa Rica. I am grateful that her host family has been so wonderful and that God has provided a good Christian friend for her at school.
  • For Michelle in Italy and now in Oxford. She has been safe and healthy in her travels and having a great time.
  • For Tahni in Senegal. God has protected her and strengthened her on this journey and she still has 6 weeks to go.
  • For the safety of the India team mission trip from our church. They spent 2 weeks there serving needy street children.
  • For the safety of the Reynosa mission team from our church who leave this weekend. They will be helping the Isaiah 55 ministries to deaf children in Mexico.
