The only difference is DD#2 was 11 months at time of adoption.She interacted with us as well, but she made absolutely NO sound for three solid days. The silence was deafening and I have never forgotten…but DD#2 opened up the same way Amelie has now. In fact, she started saying words in English at the beginning of the fourth day…I always believed she stopped making sound so she could make sense of all the English she was listening to…
