i just stumbled on your blog, and wanted to wish a happy 18 months to your baby.

and i must say, your baby knows a lot of words for an 18-month-old. i’m studying language acquisition in school right now, and according to my textbook, she’s at about the 80th% right now!! (the average is about 75 words for 18-month-olds)

and did you know that after the 50-word mark, some babies will have like a word spurt and start learning up to 37 new words everyday!!

and by 1st grade, they’ll know about 10 000 words, and by fifth grade, 40 000!!

Autumn was an early and advanced talker too. It is fun and totally amazing to hear them at such a young age. She just sounds so precious and it is obvious how much you are enjoying her. Great photo too..she is so pretty!
