We have two daughters and a son from China. Both our girls were affected by ABS. Our younger daughter had two surgeries in China before we met her and we never saw a picture of how her hands were, but they were probably similar to Amelie’s. Both girls have had a couple of surgeries since coming home and are doing very well. Many congrats on your gorgeous little girl!

What a blessing–can’t wait to see what God does in her life.

Amelia is absolutely beautiful. She reminds me so much of our daughter. Our daughter, Sarah is also from Yinchuan and has a fused left hand and is missing both fibulas and several bones and digits in both feet. She had surgery to separate her thumb in September and is doing wonderfully. We were also lucky to have a great hand surgeon, Dr Kozin, at Shriners Children’s Hospital in Philadelphia.
It is clear to see that Amelia, like our daughter, does not and will not let a few limb differences get in her way. They are amazing children and we have been so blessed to have them in our families and our lives.
You will all be in our thoughts and prayers especially during her surgery.

Linda

She is absolutely beautiful and her hands are such amazing hands. I’m going to school for occupational therapy and this is why and exactly where I want to be. I look at her and see endless possibilities for her and for you and your whole family. Every time I look at that photo of her right hand, sign language I love you pops in my head. Makes me smile. Precious, precious! I know you are helping her grow & progress through surgery (as we did with Milana’s eyes), but I have to say I love that you are taking so many photos of her hands. Even though I am so thankful and fortunate for my daughter’s surgery, I wish I had more photos of her eyes before. I just admire where she has been and where she is going. It’s heartwarming to hear about your observations of her milestones. Love it!
