Could you narrow down a top 3 for me??? Also, do you own “Choosing to See” or did you get at the library. I’ve followed that story closely and wanted to read this book for a while….

I LOVE reading, but do it far less than I’d prefer when school is in session (too much required reading). Lately I’ve been better, though, so you’ve inspired me to keep track of what I read this year.

On another note, if you’re enjoying Agatha Christie, I highly recommend Murder on the Orient Express. It is my favorite Christie. When you’re done, I’d also recommend the film. It has a great cast (Sean Connery, Lauren Bacall, Ingrid Bergman, and Jacqueline Bisset), and was nominated for many awards back in its day. Definitely refreshing when compared to films today.

The thing about books is that they feel like old friends. You can put them down for a time, but when you are ready they will be there waiting for you to pick up again. Reading is my absolutely favorite thing to do next to playing with my children. I recently rediscovered the Narnia books with my 8 year old (well we are in the process of rediscovering them) and seeing the light in her eyes as we read them together reminds me of those rainy Saturday afternoons when I was 7 reading them. Nice memories of a less hectic time in my life..priceless….

Have a great trip to China.

I would love to know which one(s) you recommend the most. I have started reading a lot more lately, as well, and would love to have a list like this one at the end of the year! I’ve started making myself (although now I don’t have to, it’s becoming the norm) sit down with a cup of hot tea and a book instead of rushing to clean the house while the boys are napping at the same time. I never know how long I’m going to have to myself, and it’s made such a difference in my days! Happy reading!
