The pensione he stayed at did not have a shower curtain for the shower, and every morning we would (individually, but particularly me) flood the bathroom and get every surface wet! (This was before I had laser eye surgery, and was legally blind without my contacts.) We thought it was just an Italian thing, but later on he was in someone elses’s room, and that guy did have a shower curtain. For some reason they just decided that our room didn’t need one! A decision I’m sure they came to regret rather quickly!

I’m glad your trip went well, and hope you get stocked up quickly. Sucks that they didn’t really have anything, but that’s the fun of travel, right? 🙂
