Can’t imagine hot orange juice, that is just wrong. Did you bring your soda maker with you??? Lots of love and hugs to you all!

Just a little bit of culture shock! 😉
Oh, and crossing the street scared me to death!

Make sure to stay hydrated. I guess it is definitely better that you are traveling in winter than in summer since it is such a dry place.

My brother was married (his first marriage) in a tiny Catholic church in Japan – sounds about the same size as the one you are talking about.

Have a safe rest of your trip, and I will be here following.

Tracy

PS – you have two VERY cute daughters. 🙂 🙂

Ningxia sounds exactly like Gansu…this is exactly how I remember it in winter time. I can tell you though that things are distinctly different in the spring…much, much nicer. When you do go back one day; go in the spring. Catherine and I went last spring and I was shocked by how beautiful it was (in a nice way). A very stark contrast to the cold and pollution in the winter. And yes, the air pollution would be hard; coal burning and tons of smoking anywhere. I hope things are going a little better now with Amelie. Hang in there…things will get better. Hope you are well….

I will be praying that things continue to improve. CTG
