I adore My Neighbor Totoro! Actually, I love all the films that come from Studio Ghibli, but Totoro is so cute!

I’m with KathyP. Were the plants to clean up the air? I hear for the Olympics they have plans to make sure there is no rain! Maybe they are building a giant fan to blow the smog out of Beijing!

That is so funny! Rented plants, but then as I write this I am sure there is a Chinese person out there righting their family about how strange us Americans are…
I love reading about your adventures…I wish that I could see it for myself, all the things you described.

I wonder — maybe they rent the plants because it helps to clean the air a little. At least it’s a homey touch. (Not my home, though, because I can’t keep a plant alive to save my life!) 🙂

Renting plants is a new one to me…too funny…are they horribly expensive in China? I just love all the food you are showing…my goodness…yummy…looks like you are all are doing well…
