I can’t imagine how hard this is for her. She is going through all of the normal emotions that kids have when they get a new baby, but she’s also got all of the stresses that come with being in a foreign country on top of it all. What a neat surprise to have fireworks and lantern balloons! So glad you guys are moving on to the next part of your trip and we’re looking forward to hearing about the rest!

Scary Green Goblin, yikes!! For the first several days we had Reagan, she could not sit up without a pillow behind her or hold her head up well without support. She caught up very quickly but of course all children progress at different rates. I imagine with big sissy at her side that Amelie with be speaking English nearly fluent by Easter 😉

I am so sorry Nadia is struggling. Let her know Reagan misses her and wants to go to the zoo when y’all have time (it will be 76 today).

I also remember the firecrackers at midnight. In Nanchang the folks were lighting them smack in the middle of the eight lane street and cars just continued to drive by like nothing was unusual. Crazy.

We love you and pray for a seamless return to the US.

I’ve always said, bands are cooler with a girl drummer–and you’ve got TWO! 😉 Love you!

The trip was tough on him. We saw sides of him we had never seen before. Our little girl was grieving heavily and our son wouldn’t eat (and he’s a good eater) or sleep very well. Which isn’t good for a toddler! It was all very stressful. I have to say our second trip was very different that our first. It was stressful. However once we were home and over the jet lag and sickness that we all suffered from, we’ve adjusted as a family of
four and the new normal. You and I both know each day will just get better and better for your family. Thinking of you!
