I’m in tears. I just can’t believe all of this and how God has orchestrated every detail for Dani to be in your loving care. Praying for all of you with lots of tears!!! This post really really got me.

You are right….harder then Gotcha day! I remember Ava’s orph. visit like it was yesterday…..
My only wish is we would have tried harder to find the girls finding spots. Just something about seeing it first hand is healing and good. Even though it is hard!!!!
She is a trooper and I have a feeling it will be all uphill from here. And honestly Ava needed that “goodbye” and needed to get that deep cry out and then she didn’t look back.
As hard and gut wreching as it is, it is a good sign. HUGS

My goodness! I have tears welling up! When the foster mom said, “thank you for coming here and giving her a family” so many tears! Happy for you all!

OK, I’m going to make a prediction here, so if I’m wrong you can shake a finger at me! I think seeing her foster mom again is going to lead to a real sea change in behavior and acceptance of y’all by Dani! Her foster mom handled it like a champ — she basically showed Dani that she thought you were ok people to leave her with, and thereby gave her permission to transfer her attachment to you. That’s what happened with Maya and her foster mom, and that was pretty much the end of Maya’s intense grieving. Hope it works for Dani, too!!!!!
