Now I have an excuse for my husband — he always says that I’m too picky about my pizza! I guess it’s just because I’m Chinese! 😉

Hang in there about the language…you will be fab…

Hope N is well…
take care. CTG

I did a ten week Mandarin course through Adult Ed last year and it was SO HARD!! Those tones are a hassle for sure. Loving your pics and posts – very jealous here on the other side of the world!!

Great weather you are having! I suppose you are used to that this time of year being a Texan and all. It is 12 degrees here in MN for a high today, which is colder than normal. One year on this day (it’s my birthday, so I remember) it was 70 here. That is a bit warm for this time of year, though.

Yes, I guess cheese is kind of an anamoly there. It is one of Charlotte’s many words, so I know she is a fan of it.

I am excited to see where you head to in Beijing! If you go to the Summer Palace, try and make sure the air is clearer – it was pretty hazy with pollution th eday we went, unfortunately.

Love all the posts about food – I love trying new foods when I travel and have my favorite spots no matter where I go. The lemon Ritz sound great! Have you looked at the Chowhound website? I am sure they have some listings for Beijing. It is a great resource for restaurant info. You could even post about the awesome burgers on there!

Hey – shouldn’t you be working on your homework? 🙂 Gina

We also tried the lemon creme filled Ritz (but not the orange). They’re a little more like a cookie than crackers. I’ve pulled out the map of Beijing we bought while we were there and have figured out where some of the places you’ve been are. All the pictures you’re posting are great and it looks like Nadia is right at home. Maybe you can get your language teachers to teach you to say things like “mashed potatos and gravy” and “original recipe”.

Take Care.
