Amelie is just adorable. I love her little ears! Be patient with her adjustment. Remember, she probably hasn’t seen many men before, so Mike is an adjustment for her. Take it slow. Don’t force anything with Mike if she is scared; just know in your heart that in time Mike with definitely be the cat’s meow for her! Some relaxing days in the room just bonding are good, too.

What an emotional roller coaster, praying for you guys continually. I know these days are seeming to last forever waiting for her to open up to you but they are so short in the grand scheme of things. Change is hard for all of us, but it won’t be long before you are all in sync with one another. Just wait, on her wedding day when Mike gives her away you and you are all emotional basket cases you can remind her about all of this 😉

Hang in there guys! Zeke didn’t take to Matt right away either. It has gotten so much better in the past 2 months, this little boy now loves his Baba.

I hope everything left in the province finishes smoothly & you’re off to GZ in no time. There is something about being on the island & in the warm climate of Guangdong that I believe will help everyone.

Dear sweet family of four:

Amidst all of the beautiful pictures, it is hard not to deeply feel the pain you are going through right now…as I am praying about this, I can’t help but get a “glimpse” into our Heavenly Father…just like Mike, He longs to comfort and console us…He has only “our good” on His agenda, yet we too are fearful like Amelie. We are scared, we scream and cry…we don’t understand His ways…but in time, we do.

As we spend time with Him, we get to know Him, trust Him and love Him.

May Amelie be a “quick study” into her father’s love.

Amelie really is beautiful and what a joy it will be to see her blossom more and more as she slowly begins to feel secure and loved and cherished. I remember the before and after pics of Nadia and how she has become this incredible and confident little girl – I am thanking God now for the transformation that will happen in Amelie!
Mike, we are praying for you! You get the joy and great challenge of showing Amelie that the love of a father perseveres! It protects, it is patient and kind and one of my absolute favorites is that love always hopes.
