Day 1 & 2 at the beach – 2014

Months ago our friends the Hebert’s asked us if we wanted to rent their place in Galveston while they took an amazing road trip back east. We quickly said yes and on September 4th we headed for Galveston. It’s funny how relaxed we are when packing up the car and hitting the road when we only have 5.5 hours to drive compared to 2 days to get to the east or west coast. We drove down and after unloading our stuff at the Hebert’s awesome beach house, we headed over to Target to buy food and a few other supplies for our time at the beach. The girls woke up the next morning ready to hit the beach before breakfast, but we made them at least stop to do that. Our good friend Laura happened to be in town and came to hang with us at the beach on the first day. Now on with the photos!

Lisa, Angelina and Matthew came out to spend most of the second day in Galveston with us! The kids had so much fun playing together.

Exhausted after 5 hours at the beach

The girls had a great first two days at the beach and were completely worn out by bedtime.

Dallas Blooms 2014

The Dallas Arboretum plants over 500,000 spring bulbs each year in preparation for the Blooms event and the display is amazing. Here are just a few of my favorite photos from our day.

While the Petermans were here the Dallas Blooms event was going on so we made plans to see the flowers and attempt photos with the kids. First off, the flowers were amazing and I loved the tulips so much!!!! I am going to do a separate post just to put the flower photos in because they are so pretty. Dani was so upset at any movement towards group photos and pretty much stayed cranky the entire day, but we just rolled her along in the wagon and continued on our way.

Dani wanted no part of this family photo.

I can’t stop laughing at this one. Oh how I love her!

In the end Mike got a smile or two out of Dani.

This is a quick post of photos from Dani’s first week in Texas (March 14 – 20th).

24 hours after getting home we went to Pappasito’s to celebrate Mike’s birthday and introduce Dani to queso and TexMex.

My last post was from our visit to the Dallas Arboretum Pumpkin Village. They opened up the Rory Meyers Children’s Adventure Garden last year and we were hoping for a nice day to go visit and take some photos for our annual Christmas calendar. There was one beautiful day the first week of December and we got so many great photos it was hard to narrow it down.

Michelle’s Engagement Ring
