Assorted Play Dates

We are in full summer mode around here and Nadia and I have been hanging out with friends. Here are a few photo albums of fun. First from the Fort Worth Splashground back in May. We went again last week, but sadly none of those photos came out because I don’t think my SD card was pushed in all the way.

At the Fort Worth CATS game with the daddies too! The Bates and the Yorks were there too, but we didn’t get a group shot before they left.

Eli, Elliott and Nadia had the most fun in the sand at the game.

This photo cracks me up because it looks like Nadia is giving them a lecture and Howard is just laughing about it 🙂

Referral Weekend Fun

Joy’s birthday was Friday night and her daughter Jeanna and grandson Garrison came into town and we all went out to dinner. It was fun as always. We LOVE you Joy! Janis gave Nadia a Curious George bouncing ball and that was the biggest hit! She has been hopping all over the house. I got some great video clips on Saturday which I will edit together soon.

Joy's Birthday

On Saturday we got up and Mike did some handyman work on the house while Nadia played with her water table. Then we came inside and Nadia and I made waffles. Notice her cute little Nadia sized apron.

Then we headed over to Michael’s so I could sign up to take the Course 3 cake class as a refresher and they were having a ‘Klutz’ family craft time. We got there at the very end and the woman said only 6 kids showed up so she gave Nadia a set of 4 of the finger-tip paints, markers and craft cards to take home.  Yeah for Nadia! Here are her and Mike working on the craft.

We ran a couple more errands and took Nadia home for a nap. Once she was up we headed over to the Mexican Inn for dinner. Nadia was in a hyper happy mood and here are a couple of shots of her and Mike and their “party hats” (from ‘Go Dog Go’).

And here we are after dinner.

Nadia didn’t want to pose for this photo and when we got to the car I asked her, “Why didn’t you want to take the photo?” And she said, “I freaked out!” HA HA!!!!

Referral Day – 2 years later

Two years ago today we saw this photo for the first time and it literally took my breath away standing in Mike’s office.

Here she was this morning helping me make waffles. We love her so much and are so blessed that she is ours.

Space Shuttle Atlantis

I know that many people don’t get too excited over the Space Shuttle launch anymore, but I fondly remember being a kid and what a big deal it was to get the TV rolled into the classroom and watch the launch L-I-V-E.

So today I noticed that they were going to show the launch of Atlantis live and so I put it on for Nadia and I. She was asking questions and she was really into it. I knew the rocket boosters would be coming off soon, but I didn’t say anything. Then when they flew off she said,

“That was awesome!”
