Oh what can I say? It was a great day and a beautiful ceremony and Tahni is my first sibling to get married 🙂 It didn’t rain so they got to have the wedding and reception outside. Tahni wanted to have a bohemian/vintage/French/coffee shop/spring wedding and it was just that. The tree that they got married under was over 200 years old and made for some beautiful photos.

Nadia did a great job as flower girl and followed my instructions to go right to Joseph. She got to him and dropped an extra handful of petals at his feet and then stood there looking up at him until Mike went over to get her.

My favorite part was when the whole wedding party prayed for Tahni and Joseph.

After the ceremony we had a wonderful dinner catered by a friend of my dad’s.  They had a little coffee bar set up and an assortment homemade treats made by my dad’s wife Brooke and me. There was a great gazebo with a deck for dancing and we really had a blast. Nadia was watching all of the dancing for a couple of songs and then said, “Those people are going to get sweaty!” Tahni and her maid of honor Allie had planned out a dance to do that no one knew about and I was so happy that I caught it on tape.

It was just a wonderful event and we are so excited for Tahni and Joseph and their new life together.

California – last day

We had to head back to Burbank to catch our flight home, but we jammed as much as we could into the morning. We went to say goodbye to Michelle and Marc since they needed to head home. Then we went back to Staci’s for a short playdate for Camden and Nadia. Then back to Nonni’s for some more visiting. Nonni and Nadia watched the Lion King together after we ate breakfast. Then Grandpa and Nonni loaded us up with snacks and goodies from the trip home and we hit the road.

My brother Michael got up at the crack of dawn to get us all a spot on the pier for fishing. Nadia was very excited at the chance to catch a fish. My brother got her all set up and she didn’t catch anything the first 2 times, but the  3rd time she got it! Here she is concentrating and trying to figure out how the fishing rod works.

Here Michael is helping her reel in the catch.

And a happy girl with her first fish!

After posing for the photo Nadia said, “Can he go back to his home now?” So my brother tossed him back in and Nadia was so happy!

Nadia started Sunday off with 2 breakfasts again and then we headed to the beach. My brother and cousins Matt and Jeff were already there and set up for fishing (separate post coming). This was our first chance to meet Jeff’s wife Ashley and their daughter Laura. Laura is 3 months older than Nadia and so they had a great time playing on the beach. Building sand castles and looking for shells.

Then it was time for lunch and a nap. That afternoon we went to my Uncle Gary and Aunt Debbie’s house for a visit and then back to Nonni’s for pizza and a movie. YUM!
