Amelie woke up and immediately went to the balcony door and said, “Side side side!” She was ready for the beach and some more playtime!

For dinner we all headed over to the Burro Loco. The food was yummy and we had a good time.

And clearly I wasn’t thinking here. I should have had Mike in the photo with us and asked another person to take the photo!

We got to the beach around 4:30 after spending the morning with the Hatchers in Augusta. Once we met up with everyone at the condo, Kim and I set off for the grocery store while Mike and Eddie took the kids to the beach.

This looks like Nadia is saying, “Come on Amelie, the sand is fine!”

Julie played with Amelie for a long time. Mike said that Amelie tasted the sand and got a big surprise. Her and Nadia had a great time playing in the sand, Nadia really enjoyed that she got her “regular” clothes soaking wet.

*I have more posting to do about our beach vacation, but I wanted to get this post up first.*

The fans and dehumidfiers were still running in our house and we had no A/C or water, so we were at a hotel in the cultural district for the 4th. The girls played in the room in the morning while Mike and I tried to recover from the drive back home.

We had gift cards for Cotton Patch so we headed over there for dinner.

Our hotel was right by Trinity Park so we tried to get an idea of how we could best see the fireworks without going too far. We let the girls stay up late and at 9:30 we climbed the little hill next to our hotel and watched the fireworks. It was great! Once it was over we went back down the hill and right to our room to put the girls to bed. Perfect!
