It’s hard to believe that Dani is already 4, but I have to remind myself that she didn’t join us until she was almost 2. Her smile lights up our world and charms people wherever we go. She has grown almost 4 inches in the last year. Dani still loves food more than anything and I continue to be amazed at the wide variety of foods she eats. We have never seen anything like it in a little child. She has definite opinions when picking out her clothes and shoes each day. She follows her sisters everywhere and tries to figure out everything they are doing. She also wishes that she could dominate them and bend them to her will, which as you can imagine leads to a lot of drama. She likes to do mazes and cut/fold/glue paper, but is not interested in learning to write – except the letter D. She likes to play memory, but doesn’t like most other board games because she can’t change the rules. She will spend hours playing with playdough or kinetic sand. She loves to be read to and look at books on her own. She gets very excited about picking new books at the library each week. She sings all the time now. She also likes to dance and “battle” her sisters in the living room. Her favorite thing about turning 4 is that she gets to chew gum. We love you Dani!
She was so excited over her gifts which included lots of new clothes, kinetic sand and a Minnie Mouse RC car. We had to go to co-op in the morning and she enjoyed everyone telling her Happy Birthday over and over and that she was “so big!” After quiet time we headed straight out to dinner because the weather was supposed to be bad later in the evening.
Dani choose Namoo so it was a win for the entire family!
After Namoo we went next door to Sweet Frog for frozen yogurt. We set this up and then sang Happy Birthday to Dani. We headed home in the storm and the girls played at home the rest of the evening.
