The Science and History Museum sent an email a couple of weeks before Mother’s Day that they were going to have a Sci Fi day that weekend. As the day drew closer they announced that some people from the 501st group were going to be there. At that point I knew we had to surprise Nadia after the walk for life by going to the museum. I packed up her Jedi costume in secret along with her Obi Wan lightsaber. Even though the 501st dress up as villains from the Star Wars universe, I knew she would L-O-V-E it. The people in costume were awesome and great with the kids! I will let the photos speak for themselves.
The bounty hunter on the left is a young girl and the bounty hunter on the right is her mom. SO cute!
People were telling us over and over how cute Nadia was and some of the employees asked us if they could take her photo. There was a teenage girl there with her mom and brother and she also asked for a photo. Her brother got in the photo and then she said, “Could I please have one with just me and her? She’s so cool.” We were also given an invite for Nadia to join a little kids galactic club. Nadia was hyper and talking about it for HOURS afterwards.
After nap time for Amelie we returned to the museum to see the Omni IMAX movie “Born to be Wild”. The girls loved it and played that they were mommy orangutans for days afterwards. It was a lovely day from start to finish.
