Introducing Mu Rong Wang Lei

We got our pre approval to adopt from China. Our documents will go through review and now we are waiting on our Letter of Approval (LOA) which is the official approval. I told Nadia that China said that we can adopt her and she said, “I’m so excited! YEAH!!!” (insert fist pump)

Her DOB is 6.6.2009 and she is from Ningxia which is a province in the north (see below).

Ningxia

Here is a little more information:

Living in the Children’s Welfare Institute in Ningxia, China

(it’s in the north close to Mongolia; rural farming area; grows wolfberries, known as goji berries in America)

As of her medical review she could crawl and cruise. It says she is a deep sleeper and eats 5 times a day and likes all kinds of food.

Also that she is shy, fond of listening to music, has a ready smile, fond of quietness, energetic, fond of playing games, close to her caretaker and the other children in the institution.

And my favorite quote from her growth report:

“she is delicate, clever and lovely, very pretty”

We are so thrilled and look forward to bringing her home to be a part of our family!!! Thanks everyone for your prayers and support. God is so good!

We have a match!

We received a call about a match from our agency this afternoon. We sent off our “letter of intent” and we hope for China to give us pre-approval in a week or so. From there we can share more details, but we just think she is the cutest thing ever!!

It’s just amazing that 6 months to the day that we decided to adopt again we have a match. This route is a little different than with Nadia so we will probably not travel until Januray 2011. My heart hurts that our future child will have to be in an institution for another 4 months, but I know that God is watching over her and loves her more than we can imagine.

I will share that they say she is fond of music (they said the same about Nadia and is that ever true) and that she isn’t picky about food and eats everything. As my excitement overwhelms me those are the 2 things that stick out.

Thanks for all the people who have prayed for us and joined us on this journey.

Thankful Thursday

Today I am thankful that I have been a World Vision Child Ambassador for 5 years! I am grateful to God for allowing me to serve the children of the world who are often forgotten because they are in places that no one in the Western world ever has cause to think of. Let me know if you have any questions about World Vision or child sponsorship – it’s one of my favorite topics 🙂
